A working fishing harbour and the gateway to the Farne Islands.
Seahouses from the sky
Seahouses is a small fishing village built around its harbour, and it's where most boat trips to the Farne Islands leave from. On a calm morning the harbour is one of my favourite places to put the drone up.
Come for the boats, stay for fish and chips on the harbour wall, then walk the coast path north to Bamburgh or south to Beadnell.

Fishing boats, lobster pots and the trip boats coming and going. Best early, before the crowds.
Farne Islands boat trips
Seals all year round and seabirds in spring and summer, including puffins. Book a boat from the harbour.
Fish & chips
You can't visit Seahouses without them. Watch out for the gulls.
